Background
- Dr. Hora Tjitra leads the international management development practice of Change International's German Office.
- Prior to join Change International Ltd., he was responsible for the development of the global diversity practice of Human Resource Management Consulting Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers Germany and specialized in the development, design and delivery of intercultural and diversity interventions for multinational organizations.
- Dr. Tjitra, an Indonesian-born Chinese, has lived in Germany for twelve years and has extensive short- and long-term travel and work experience in Asia, USA and Europe. Before joining PwC, he worked as a Research Fellow and Ph.D. candidate with the leading research group on intercultural issues in Germany led by Professor Dr. Alexander Thomas at the University of Regensburg. Throughout his research, Dr. Tjitra was dealing extensively with the subjects of intercultural synergy, complex problem-solving, group diversity, multicultural leadership/team and the methodology of intercultural training. In addition to his research activities, over the past six years, he has served as an independent trainer and consultant conducting intercultural training, coaching and workshop sessions for participants from a wide range of company and cultural backgrounds.

Intercultural Qualification and Training

- Developed, executed (regularly) and examined international and national management behavior training. The projects covered subject areas of cultural awareness, intercultural communication, international negotiation, cross-cultural problem solving, technology transfer as well as multinational team building and leadership.
- Conceptualized, managed and analyzed quantitative and qualitative cultural sensitive psychological surveys (questionnaire and interview)
- Transforming psychological (Human Resource) instruments, which are developed in western cultural environment, into Asian cultural context.
- Conceptualized a company specific intercultural competency model, carried out cross-cultural assessment center as well as prepared resume for the participants
